Active Life Scientific is a medical technology company founded based on physicist Dr. Paul Hansma’s discovery of the ‘glue-like’ role played by tiny molecular structures to dramatically improve the strength of certain materials. One such material was bone, where Dr. Hansma’s ‘bone glue’ breakthrough motivated his invention of a new way to measure the strength and quality of materials, called Reference Point Indentation (RPI). With this fundamentally new approach to understanding bone health, the company is currently focused on changing physician understanding and care in their immediate community and around the world, empowering patients and physicians to better prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat bone fragility for generations to come.
