Liv Labs
Liv Labs Inc. is a VC-backed, clinical-stage women's healthtech startup making affordable, consumer-friendly versions of clinical treatments for female urinary incontinence. By 2060, well over 40 million American women will need treatment for urinary incontinence, with an estimated public health burden as high as $30 billion. The shortage of pelvic floor treatment specialists is predicted to worsen. Left untreated, incontinence is shown to negatively impact physical fitness, mental health, social participation, and quality of life.
Liv Labs has raised over $2.6M to realize its vision to provide successful first-line treatment of urinary incontinence at home. The company is developing a self-care vaginal pessary to prevent leaks and a pelvic floor fitness app with automated personal coaching. They are on track to enter the market in 2025. The pessary is patented globally and is currently the subject of a pivotal clinical trial at Ohio State University.
