NIH Small Business 101 is a new webinar series designed to help small businesses prepare for the next chapter of the small business program (SBIR/STTR). This is the second in the series, Building Your Budget, originally airing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. It covers building budgets for SBIR/STTR grants, including guidance on forms, allowable costs, budget periods, and work requirements. NIH staff explain how to access different funding paths, use technical and business assistance funding, and emphasized consulting program officers and reviewing NOFOs and application guides. Key resources and tips for avoiding common pitfalls were shared, with reminders to follow instructions and reach out for support.
