ACT-IAC Small Business Innovation Research SBIR Forum
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is a highly competitive initiative in the United States aimed at nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship within small businesses. Administered by various federal agencies, SBIR provides funding to eligible small businesses to conduct research and development (R&D) with the potential for commercialization. It's structured in phases, starting with feasibility studies and culminating in commercialization efforts. SBIR encourages the creation of cutting-edge technologies, fosters economic growth, and supports the transition of groundbreaking innovations into the marketplace, ultimately benefiting both the small business community and the broader economy.
Stephanie Fertig, Director, NIH Small Business Program, will be participating in the Bridging the Valley of Death between Phase II and Phase III panel at 2:20 p.m.
