NIMHD Health Disparities Preapplication Program Accepting Applications Until June 2, 2023
The NIMHD HDPreApp program is designed to provide technical assistance to small business applicants – including scientific commercialization guidance and coaching – to help improve the quality of applications. HDPreApp works with a select number of small businesses applying to NIH Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program (SBIR/STTR) funding opportunities with an application that is focused on minority health and NIH-defined populations that experience health disparities.1 Small business applicants have a unique opportunity to apply for pre-application assistance.
HDPreApp is a free program that provides participants with technical support for improving the scientific merit and commercialization components of their application, with the goal of improving application scores to increase the chance for funding. Applicants are still responsible for writing and developing all components of their applications.
Applications for NIMHD’s HDPreApp pilot program are being accepted on a rolling basis until Friday, June 2, 2023. The program is open to all Phase I, Direct, and Fast-Track Phase II SBIR/STTR applicants that have demonstrated readiness to apply for SBIR/STTR funding.
