Omnibus vs. Targeted Solicitations: Finding the Best Funding Opportunities from XLerateHealth
Biomedical innovators who are interested in obtaining funding to jump start their business and de-risk their innovative biomedical technologies are encouraged to tune into this webinar on Wednesday, September 11, at 3:00 p.m. ET.
This webinar, which is hosted by XLerateHealth, will feature an overview of their resources for biomedical entrepreneurs. Next, attendees will hear about small business innovation research (SBIR) and small business technology transfer (STTR) funding opportunities and the differences between applying through investigator-initiated "omnibus" notices of funding opportunity (where an applicant proposes research topic of their own choosing, based on the general areas of interest stated in the general solicitation from NIH) and targeted SBIR/STTR offerings (where some NIH institutes or centers seek solutions to specific ailments or topics, e.g., Alzheimer's).
Attendees will hear from experts at the following Institutes: the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institute on Aging, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and the National Cancer Institute.
Presentations will be followed by a moderated Q&A session.
