2023 NIA Start-Up Challenge and Accelerator for Fostering Entrepreneurial Diversity
For the second year, the National Institute on Aging (NIA) Office of Strategic Extramural Programs and Office of Special Populations has launched the 2023 NIA Start-Up Challenge and Accelerator. NIA invites researchers and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds who have ideas for science-driven innovations that address aging-related diseases and conditions or health disparities in aging adults from marginalized communities. Submit your idea to the Challenge by completing the online submission form by the deadline of 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 20.
Up to 20 finalists will be selected to participate in a five-month accelerator program. Finalists are expected to commit four to six hours per week from approximately July to December 2023. At the conclusion of the program, up to six finalists will be selected as winners to each receive a $60,000 cash prize. This prize is not a loan and does not need to be repaid.
If you missed the pre-submission webinar on Thursday, March 16, you can find it archived on the Challenge page.
